Fun Palace

Wow! The little one and I were blown away by Fun Palace, a new drop in place space on the 5th Floor of the Stamford Town Center. Owned by the same folks who run VR Fun Place in the Danbury Mall, this new Stamford, CT spot has those same cool VR experiences for bigger kids, as well as TONS of toys, games and play areas for the smaller set.

There are multiple ball pits, multiple play sets (one decked in pretty pastels and one shaped like a giant Ferrari) and even multiple changing rooms converted into dress up costume centers. It’s clear that this space formally housed a very large clothing store, and the new owners did a great job taking advantage of the huge space and all of its nooks.

There’s an arts and craft center, a puppet play set, there are toys and puzzles everywhere. It’s just adorable. And because it’s so new, it’s also very clean right now. I saw hand sanitizers on our visit, so I’m hoping the place continues to do a good job with general upkeep and germ prevention, given its target clientele, particularly during the current season of winter, is so prone to illness.

On our visit, I heard another mom describe a visit to Fun Palace as a visit to someone’s VERY LARGE playroom. I think that’s a great way to describe it. A great spot to beat the winter blues!

The price to enter Fun Palace is $11 per hour or $16 for the whole day. VR experiences cost extra. In the back right corner of the space is an extremely large party room.
