Untermyer Gardens and Conservatory

Tucked away from the hardcore city vibes of Yonkers, NY is the restoration of Samuel Untermyer’s gardens, Untermyer Gardens and Conservatory. The entire property, consisting of a handful of different and equally stunning gardens, takes about twenty five minutes to walk through…that is, if you can manage not to stop and gawk every three second at the beauty you’re seeing. Breathtaking flowers, landscapes, rock gardens, waterfalls and even a staircase that seems to descend from the heavens (the Vista) are all showcased here. I can only dream of what it must be like to throw a wedding or private event at the Gardens on a beautiful spring or fall early evening.

Right now, the gardens are open for free timed entry visits Friday through Sunday. You and your party are instructed to wear masks, keep 6 feet distance from others and follow the set path. It was overcast on my visit and I sweat profusely through my mask but I STILL had an amazing experience. This is a NY must do.
