Read MoreThis time of year is always very busy. No matter what holiday(s) you celebrate, there’s a lot of shopping, cooking, wrapping and decorating to do. Then there’s usually even more shopping after that.
In between all of your holiday chores this year, spend some time celebrating the season by checking out a few of these awesome holiday events happening locally in and around Westchester and Fairfield Counties. There’s so much to pick from, but these are my favorites.
Read MoreIt’s been a full DECADE (gasp!) since I moved from my home state of New York to the neighboring state of Connecticut. And during all that time, I’ve failed to publicly declare my love for the City of Norwalk.
Norwalk can be gritty and grubby, especially when compared to its glamorous, chic neighbors like New Canaan and Westport. But if you give the “sixth most populous city in CT” a chance, you’ll find that it’s a vibrant, exciting place with a lot to offer. And to help inspire you, I now present FIVE reasons why this New Yorker Digs Norwalk.
Read MoreIt has been a very long time since I’ve dedicated a full blog post to one restaurant. And the few times I’ve done it in the past have been reserved for my most favorite local spots. Well, a new favorite local spot emerged last year!
Restaurant L’Ostal quietly opened in Darien in early 2021 after COVID caused Chef Jared Sippel to shutter his Manhattan restaurant. New York’s loss was Connecticut’s gain. L’Ostal isn’t just the best restaurant to open recently in Fairfield County - it’s one of the absolute best restaurants to open in the general area in the entire decade that I’ve lived here.
Read MoreWell yes, almost a full year into a global pandemic, this holiday season is going to be very different. This year, there will be less socializing, less pictures with Santa, less in person activities, and probably, more presents for your loved ones to make up for all the rest.
COVID is on the rise and this is not the time to gather in big groups indulging in holiday merriment. But the holiday spirit CAN still exist in a global pandemic. I’ve rounded up a bunch of ways that, with masks on and at least six feet of distance kept, you and your cohort can nevertheless celebrate the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
Read MoreI love good food. I have two kids. Although it’s not always easy, I take those two kids out to restaurants A LOT. And, believe it or not, after years of dining out, they actually LOVE going to restaurants; and they are slowly getting better at sitting in their chairs for an entire meal.
There are so many food blogs out there. But none really focus on family friendly dining - particularly the kind of family friendly dining that doesn’t in any way resemble Chuck E. Cheese.
So here now is a running list of my suggestions, separated by geography, on where to Feed Your Kids. No, these spots are not like the cafe inside your local day care - these are legit restaurants that cater to adults. But I have done each of these with our kids, and I know you can and SHOULD, too!
I will continually update these lists - so check back often! AND ENJOY!

Read MoreYup. Memorial Day weekend 2020 seems to be mostly cancelled. No jetting off to crowded beaches. No outdoor concerts. No town pools and pool clubs. This Memorial Day weekend, it’s all about day drinking at home with your kids splashing nearby in an inflatable pool that you were overcharged for on Amazon.
But at least there’s one awesome warm weather activity that’s still mostly intact for this Memorial Day weekend: Eating Summery Foods.
Here are five places, all presently open for curbside pick up, that will at least make your mouth feel like it’s celebrating the start of summer.

Read MoreI’m a mom. I’m a corporate lawyer. I really like to explore, eat and travel and I also like to plan where I’m going to eat, where I’m going to explore and where I’m going to travel. I hate the gym but also hate sitting still. I love NYC and try to get there often. My kids see me on my phone a lot looking at pictures of food, pop ups and dogs.
I started this blog because I was sending too many one-off emails to friends with suggestions on what to do and where to go. My posts are not intended to be full fledged reviews, but rather quick glimpses of what I've been up to. Hopefully posts will inspire you to check out some of those same things.
